Googled "COD4 detect cheats"
Found a site that is dedicated to making cheats and they are proud of them! Lol
From the looks of the forums they get a decent amount of traffic.
Found the one but probably more.
One cheat did this
features:
Aiming -> Aimbot, No Recoil, No Spread, Autowall, Prediction
Visuals -> Name, Distance, Box, Weapon
Misc -> Radar, Laser, No Fog, 3rd Person, Crosshair, Killsounds
Not sure what all of them do.
Watched a demo video and for wall hacking it had an overlay showing a box where all opposing player were.
As a typical player the only way I know a cheater is on the server is by outlandish kill count.
A good honest player may get 100 kills/round but surely not 100 kills in ten minutes.

I installed the 1.7 patch a while back because there are more servers and more players than the version we play. I lasted about an hour, I would imagine that the hacks would only work for the 1.7 version?

I'm not sure either if hacks are version specific. I recorded and submitted this to ZF yesterday. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bm3M3R9wn-AI should have recorded him longer before chatting that I was recording him and would submit it to ZF. When he read that he went spectator for a bit and then left. But I think I got enough to prove he was aimbotting. |

I recorded with Shadowplay which outputs a mp4 file. www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/shadowplay My ingame resolution is 1280x720 with allot of settings on low, no anti-alias so it would look better if I upped the resolution and settings for COD4 but its passable for what I'm doing, knocking cheaters cods in the dirt. I rendered it in .wmv 1280x720(makes for less upload time then 1920x1080) with Sony Vegas Home Studio, a dumbed down version of Vegas Pro. Sony Vegas Home Studio ran $40 US allot better than several hundred for Vegas Pro. No more than I do the $40 US was well spent. Windows 7 has a built in video editing software program, Windows Live Movie Maker, which I have used. Basic but it will output good videos just not allot of bells and whistles. |

MP4 is such a good format, have noticed that your videos are really clear. Ive heard allot of good things about Sony vegas. I have an older copy somewhere I should fire up. Ived made videos back in the day for Battlefield 142, just fun videos I uploaded into YouTube. I miss that game, it was the only game I ever played where I actually felt nervous. It was intense with futuristic machines walking around trying to kill you lol The maps were huge, you either needed to drive or fly to a destination to fight They actually had commercials on the billboards which would change depending who bought the advertising rights that week. I've heard of that Battlefield game. Still looks nice especially that ad! I'd bet your version of Vegas would be more than adequate.
The dumbed down version I have has fewer render, blending modes and masking options then the pro version.
Our Ghost Recon team played in several co-op tournaments years ago. That made me and the rest nervous!

GENTLEMEN,,,DOWNLOAD cod4 player...record a player u think may be a hack..run it through cod4 player..if and when u decide to get it ill run u through how it works....there are a number of hacks ,,,that are not legal in the game ..walls bots ect there are a number of others...no recoil .. magnification...burst fire .. auto knife etc.

Hey Badger,
I have used the /record console command and COD4player. Works great!
The only hacks I'm confident to submit to zF are aimbot and nade switching.
I need more experience detecting the others you mention.
I didn't know about the 'auto knife'.
How does that work or look?

Auto knife is a program undetectable..with cod4 player however the only way to detect is to be BEHIND A PLAYER and he knifes u without turning...NORECOIL is easier..vid player run it through cod4 player and slow cod4 player down and u will find the m/g or rifle has no recoil... burst fire is a g3 or handgun that is automatic easier enough to detect and see...fires reloads in 1 or 2 seconds..magnification is when a rifle is brought up to sholder normal game is 2 mag...the hack is 5...

Allot of hacks Badger speaks of are hard to catch without more knowledge on my part and time spent getting rock solid evidence.
Aimbot and nade switching are pretty obvious and easy to get the evidence.
I'd hate to accuse anyone with out solid evidence.
